Hooray, I finished the first week's assignments. In spite of all my efforts, I did learn a lot! I don't know if this course is representative of the rest of our courses in DigIn but I prefer technology from the user's perspective. I like the idea of being able to create a friendly, intuitive interface for information providers and seekers but I'm not enamored of the tech part. Understanding it is very helpful but I would not want to work in the world of programming or IT. I need human interaction in the real world. Virtual is a poor substitute for me. I also love the teaching part. It's who I am, it's what I do :)
